A construction laborer, Kenneth C. Shepard, 64, of Bluford, died at 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 1985, at Jefferson Barracks V. A. Hospital in St. Louis,

Mr. Shepard was the son of the late John and Lelia Peddicord Shepard.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bluford Funeral Home with Rev. Loy Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in Thomason Cemetery at Wayne City.

Visitation is planned after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Mr. Shepard was born Mar. 10, 1921, Lake City, Iowa. He married Dorothy Martin at Morgansfield, Ky., July 16, 1949.

He was a m ember of the Church of God, American Legion at Bluford, and Flora

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Shepard, of Bluford, three sons, Leland Shepard, of Clinton, Martin Shepard, of Mt. Vernon; John Shepard, of Normal; one daughter, Mrs. Penny Masso, of Pontiac; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Lemmon, of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Francis Catron, of Decatur, and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
