A retired laborer, Forest "Curly" Thomason, 64, of Wayne City, died at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 1985, at Scott Air Force Base Hospital, Belleville following a long term illness.

Mr. Thomason was the husband of the former Florine Edmison Thomason.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home, Wayne City, with Rev Richard McCormick officiating. Burial was in Thomason Cemetery at Wayne City.

Mr. Thomason was born in Wayne County, July 26, 1921, the son of Lenzie and Mamie Thomason Thomason.

He wed Florine Edmison in 1952.

Mr. Thomason was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He belonged to the Mt. Vernon American Legion and VFW.

urvivors include his wife, Mrs. Florine Thomason, of Wayne City, one daughter, Mrs. Randy (Bootie) Gregory, of Sims; and two grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two sons, Tomye and Johnnye.
