Theron "Slim" Spence, 75, of Norris City, a retired Airtex employee, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 2, 1985, at Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, Ind., where he was being treated for heart problems.

Mr. Spence was employed for many years as group leader in water pump department No. 48 at Airtex prior to retirement.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.  Saturday at Plainview General Baptist Church at Norris City. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be conducted after 4 p.m. Friday at Campbell Funeral Home at Norris City.

Surviving are his wife, Bernice Spence, of Norris City; two daughters, Mrs. Lena Hake, of Carbondale; and Mrs. Wilma Stewart, of Venedy; three sisters, Mrs. Nina York, of Enfield; Mrs. Lela Greer, of Norris City; and Mrs. Neva Hardesty, of Carmi; one brother Dalton Spence, of Carmi; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews in Wayne county.
