A retired General Electric inspector Mrs. Letha H. Farmer, 68, of Normal, a former Cisne resident, died at 6 p.m. Friday, July 26, 1985, at Mennonite Hospital in Bloomington.

Mrs. Farmer, who previously worked for many years with the G. E. Company at Bloomington, was ill for sometime. She was the wife of Irvin Farmer, who she married July 22, 1936 in Fairfield.

Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a m. Monday (today) at Elmwood Cemetery at Flora with Bro. Ron Linder Officiating. Funeral arrangements were handled by H@sselton Funeral Home at Cisne.

Mrs. Farmer was born at Cisne, Oct. 15, 1916, the daughter of Charles and Delphia Dowd Howe.

She was a member of Machinist Local 1000 at Bloomington.

Survivors include her husband, Irvin Farmer, of Normal; one daughter, Mrs. Billie Jo Downing, of Normal; one son, Gerald Farmer, of Chillicothe; a sister, Mrs. Katie Fry, of Clay City; and four grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and three sisters.
