A well-known retired Geff farmer Wayne H. Brown, 73, was pronounced dead-on-arrival at 6:05 a.m. Friday, July 26, 1985, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Brown was the husband of Naomi Simms Sons Brown. He was afflicted with cancer.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m.. Sunday at Johnson Funeral Home with Elder Russell Blackford and Bro. John Heston officiating. Burial was in Bestow Cemetery at Geff.

Mr. Brown was born in Lamard township in Wayne County, May 31, 1912, the son of Julius and Grace McDannel Brown. He attended Center School and Geff High School.

He married Naomi Sons at Albion July 5, 1962.

Mr. Brown was a member of Geff Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Naomi Brown, of Geff; three sons, Millard Brown, of Sanibel, Fla.; Lowell Brown of Houston, Tex.; and Charles Brown, of Decatur; two step-daughters, Mrs. Robert (Geney) Anderson, and Mrs. Nelson (Patsy) Kiburz, both of St Louis, Mo., one sister, Mrs. Flo Powers, of Palmyra; nine grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
