Percilla Ann, daughter of George and Elizabeth Wooden, was born in Wayne county April 20th, 1858. She grew to womanhood and was married to Daniel Louis Chapman on October 31st, 1873. Eight children were born into this home, three boys and one girl having preceded both parents in death.

Mr. Chapman died October 26th, 1936. Mrs. Chapman passed away at 6 o’clock a.m. February 13th, 1947, at her home in Geff, at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 24 days.

Mrs. Chapman was converted as a child and united with Olive church.

She leaves four daughters, Mary Forth, Macomb; Elizabeth Craley, Belvidere; Mildred Cunningham, Macomb, and Bessie Pierce, Evansville; 27 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted from the Bethel Methodist church Sunday afternoon, February 16th, at 1 o’clock p.m., by Rev. Garrett H. Phillips and Rev. W.E. Courtright. Interment was in the cemetery nearby.
