Mrs. Lola Baker, 78, of 811 West Main, died at Memorial Hospital at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 1985.
She was ill a short time following heart attack and stroke, the Press was told. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Johnson Chapel, with Rev. Hosa Caldwell and Rev. E. R. Adams officiating. Interment was in Pin Oak cemetery north of Sims.
She was born in Wayne county Oct. 24, 1906, the daughter of William and Mamie Sons Orrison.
She was married to Harry (Hap) Baker, a longtime city meter reader who died in 1979.
Mrs. Baker was of the General Baptist faith but had attended the Church of God near her home in recent years.
Survivors are two brothers-in-law, Arthur Baker, of Sims; and Alfred Baker, of Mt. Vernon, an uncle Seth Sons, of Fairfield; and a host of cousins.
