A retired Southern Illinois Lumber Co. employee, Glen Miller, 74, of Sims,died at 9:40 p.m. Friday, Apr. 12, 1985, in the intensive care unit at FairfieldMemorial Hospital.
Mr. Miller and his wife, Laura, were involved in a head-on car crash last October near Wayne City, in which he received massive injuries. He was hospitalized several times for treatment and remained in a nursing home since theaccident.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday (today) at Sims Missionary Baptist Church, with Bro. Roger Tate officiating. Burial followed in ThomasonCemetery at Wayne City. Richardson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Mr. Miller was born in Wayne county Nov. 23, 1910, the son of Oscar andAmanda Clark Miller. He was wed to the former Laura Beasley Sept. 7, 1935.
Mr. Miller was employed at the lumber company in Wayne City for many years.
He was a member of Star Baptist Church .
Survivors include his wife, Laura Miller, of Sims; three brothers, Jesse Miller, of Kissimmee, Fla.; and Clarence and Elbert Miller, both of Wayne City; and two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Shelton, of Pekin; and Mrs. Leo (Berneice) Wells, of Meadows.
He was preceded in death by a sister. Dale
