A former Wayne county resident, Lester Thomason, 60, of Peoria, died at 5:50a.m. Saturday, Apr. 13, 1985, at St. Francis Hospital at Peoria.

Mr. Thomason was the brother of Leland Thomason and Leona Thomason, both ofFairfield. He was a retired employee of Pabst Brewing Company, Peoria.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Wayne City. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.  Visitation may be made from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the funeral hour.

Mr. Thomason was born in Wayne county July 19, 1924, the son of Edmond and Gladys Trotter Thomason.

On July 30, 1945, he wed Floralee Solomon.

Mr. Thomason was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Floralee Thomason, of Peoria; his mother, Mrs.Gladys Thomason, of McLansboro; two sons, Eddie, at home; and Larry, of PeoriaHeights; one daughter, Mrs. Verna Sanders, of Peoria; three brothers, LelandThomason, of Fairfield; Glennard Thomason, of Camden, Tenn.; and WilfordThomason, of Grand Junction, Colo.; three sisters, Leona Thomason, of Fairfield;Lorene McNew, of Sims; and Carolyn Brandebury, of DeWitt, Iowa; sixgrandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
