Memorial services for Ewdard E. Merritt, of Clearwater, Fla., will be held#at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at the Pleasant Grove Christian Church northwest of Geff.   Bro. Neal Kenley, church pastor, will officiate. The body has been#cremated.

Mr. Merritt, 83, died May 29, 1994, at Mease Hospital in Dunedin, Florida.

 He farmed many years west of Geff, moving to Florida about 17 years ago.

Mr. Merritt was born in Wayne County May 4, 1911, the son of Edward and Laura Buchanan Merritt.   In 1938 he was married to Virginia Hill.

He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Christian Church near Geff for 21 years.

Surviving are his wife; one son, James, of Fairfield; one daughter, Patricia Peacuch, of Clearwater, Fla.; and one sister, Mrs. Elsie Wood, of Mt.#Vernon; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
