Ray G. Hastings, 83, of Louisville father of Harold Hastings who operates the Food Park supermarket here, died at his Clay County home at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 1988.  He had been in poor health for some time.

Mr. Hastings was a retired oil field pumper for W. C. McBride. He was a longtime resident of the Louisville area.
 
Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning (today) from the Neal Funeral Home in Louisville, with Bro. Richard Hill officiating. Interment was in Orchard Hill cemetery.

Mr. Hastings was born in Clay County Feb. 22, 1905, the son of Noah and Adeline Brewer Hastings.  He was married to Jewell Harrison in 1931.

Mr. Hastings was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are his widow; two Sons Harold of Salem; and Carl of Columbus Grove, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
