Lazarus V. Moore, 83, of Fairfield, died at 12:45 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 1988 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Services were held Monday (today) at 1 p.m. at the Kenny Brothers Funeral Home in Evergreen Park, Ill., with burial in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery, also in Evergreen Park.

Mr. Moore was born on July 23, 1905 in Troy, Ala., the son of Lazarus V. and Ella (Rhodes) Moore.  On April 3, 1939 he was wed to Juanita Shaw in Chicago. She survives.

He was involved for a number of years in grocery retail management in Chicago before retiring here.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita; one daughter, Donna Jean Brinkman of Matteson, Ill.; two grandchildren and  two great-grandchildren.
