Walter K. Niccum, 80, of Mountain Home, Ark., formerly of Cisne, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1988, in Mountain Home, Ark.

He was an employee of Texaco oil Company in Johnsonville for approximately 30 years, and had retired to Mountain Home, Ark. in 1975.

Services are to be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home, with burial in the Baxter Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Niccum was born on July 19, 1908 in Enid, Okla. the son of Ira and Flora (Sampson) Niccum. He was wed to Fairy Stevens on Aug. 19, 1928 in Fairfield. They had recently celebrated their 60th  Wedding anniversary. She survives him.

Mr. Niccum was a past member of the Masonic Lodge in Johnsonville, and a member of the East Side Baptist Church in Mountain Home.

Aside from his wife, Niccum is survived by one son, Billy Niccum of Bivins, Tex.; a brother, Tony Niccum of Mountain Home, Ark.; one sister, Hester Bell of Fairfield; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
