Nancy Camille (HINES) ATTEBERRY

Mrs. D. W. Atteberry died about 8 o'clock Monday evening from creeping paralysis. She had two strokes on her right side 5 yrs. ago.

Nancy Camille Hines was born Jan. 23, 1859.  Her mother died when Nancy was but 2 years old. Her father died when she was 12 years of age. She then made her home with Mr. and Mrs. James Bone until she was married to Jacob Shartzer, Sept. 11, 1879. To this union were born 2 children, Mrs. Maude Harding of this place and Mrs. Lottie Bruce of Kirksville.

She was left a widow Jan. 24, 1884 and was married to D. W. Atteberry Mar. 4, 1891 to this union were born 2 sons, George Atteberry of Sullivan and Frank who died at age 4. She professed her personal faith in Christ at a revival meeting conducted by Revs. Montgomery and Chrisman and joined the C. P. Church here. To her it was a great pleasure to engage in Christian work and her membership continued in the same church.

The funeral service was held in the home Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock and was conducted by Rev. J. H. Mulholland of Charleston, text was Psalms 17-15, "As for me, I will behold Thy face in righteousness, and I shall be satisfied when I awake with Thy likeness." The pallbearers were J. A. Walton, H. A. Mulholland, W. W. Bankson, W. R. Bone and F. O. and J. F. Ward.
