Former Wayne county resident, Mrs. Rhoda Lee Mayberry, 58, of Bluford died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 1984, at her home.
She was the sister of Cathryn Upton of Fairfield, and Myrtle Weaver, of Cisne.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Maple Hill Cemetery with Rev. Richard Pearce officiating. No visitation is planned. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hughey Funeral Home at Mt. Vernon. Memorial contributions may be mailed to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
Mrs. Mayberry was born in Wayne county Sept. 13, 1926, the daughter of Ledger and Edna (Upton) May. She was wed to Harley E. Mayberry in Fairfield Feb. 14, 1944.
Mrs. Mayberry was a former employee at Airtex Products. She followed the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include her husband, Harley Mayberry, of Bluford, two daughters, Nola Mayberry, of Anna; and Mrs. Steve (Sarah) Neal, of Mt. Vernon, four sons, Walter, David and Chris Mayberry, all of Bluford; and Keneth Mayberry, of Mt. Vernon, two sisters, Cathryn Upton of Fairfield and Myrtle Weaver, of Cisne, and one granddaughter.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one brother.
