A former Wayne City man, Glen Rawls, 76, of Peoria, died at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 1984, at Peoria from emphysema.
Mr. Rawls lived at the Proctor Endowment Home, 2724 West Reservoir Blvd. in Peoria for the past 2 1/2 years. His wife is also a resident of the home.
Funeral services were conducted at Wilton Funeral Home at Peoria with Rev .Lute Clark, a cousin, officiating. Burial was in Park View Cemetery in that city.
Mr. Rawls was born in Wayne City April 5, 1908, the son of Charlie and Ola Rawls. He was married to the former Tilda "Till" Garrison Mar. 31, 1927. The couple was married 57 years.
Mr. Rawls owned and operated Canton Transfer Co. at Canton until retiring in 1955 at the age of 47. He served on the board of directors of Graham Hospital at Canton and belonged to several other organizations while living in that area.
He was a member of Dayton Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Tilda Rawls, of Peoria, one daughter, Mrs. Glenda Flanagan, of Granby, Colo.; and a grandson, Timmie Flanagan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mrs. Zella Fields.
