William Brent Griffith, 36, of Fairfield, died at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 1994, at Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville, Ind.  Mr. Griffith had been treated for lung cancer since August, 1993.  His condition worsened this past May.

He was an employee of Champion Laboratories at Albion.

Funeral services will be held from the Johnson Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Saturday, with Bro. Kip Knavel officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation at the Johnson Chapel will be from 5 to 8 o'clock Friday evening.

He was born in Fairfield Mar. 2, 1958, the son of James and Carolyn Kutz Griffith.   In January of 1977 he was married to Lisa Faye Mann, with 2 children born to their union.

Mr. Griffith was a member of the Fairfield First Christian Church. He coached Little League baseball for 12 years.

Surviving are his wife, Lisa; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Griffith, of Fairfield; one son, Christopher, 16; one daughter, Lauren, 4; and 2 brothers, Jim Griffith, Jr., of Fairfield; and Clark Griffith, of Fairfield.
