Mrs. Helen Easton, 71 of Fairfield, died at Memorial Hospital at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 1994, following a stroke. Mrs Easton lived at the Fairfield High Rise.

The body is being cremated. No visitation or funeral services are planned. Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born in Wayne County Oct. 22, 1922, the daughter of Foster and Mayme Simms Hodge. She was married to Carl Easton. He was killed in a military accident at the end of World War II.

Mrs Easton was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and had attended Ellen Moore United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Leah Campbell, of Anderson, Ind.; and Doris Scofic, of Fairfield; one brother, James Hodges of Anderson, Ind.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
