Mrs. Marie Tabor, 89, of Brentwood, Tenn., and a former resident of Fredonia, Ky., died at 11:15 p.m. Friday, July 8, 1994, at West Mead Place in Nashville, Tenn., following a long illness.

She was the mother of Rev. Don Tabor, of Brentwood, Tenn., former pastor of the Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Tabor lived in Fairfield for a time when her son was pastor here.

Funeral rites were conducted Monday morning (today) from the Morgan Funeral Home in Princeton, Ky., with Rev. Randy Hammer and Rev. Bill Pettit officiating. Interment was in Mexico Cemetery in Crittenden County, Ky.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Tabor was born July 8, 1904 the daughter of Harvey and Maggie Elizabeth Morse Tosh.  In 1939, she was married to James Anderson Tabor. He passed away in 1979.

Her parents also preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Brentwood Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are one son, Rev Don Tabor, of Brentwood, Tenn.; one stepdaughter, Jean Highfil, of Crittenden County; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Maxwell Tosh, of Farmington, Mich.
