Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Otey, 80, of Fairfield, will be conducted from the Johnson Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Saturday, with Rev. David Myers officiating. Interment will be in Mapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Johnson Chapel after 6 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Otey died Tuesday morning, July 5, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, Ind., from cancer. She was the widow of Gilbert (Gib) Otey, longtime Wayne County ESDA chief, who died Feb. 1 this year.

She was a native of Crawford County.

Survivors include three sons, Rudy and Ken Otey, both of Fairfield; and Dan Otey, of Terre Haute, Ind.; one sister, Mary Louise Hess, of Evansville, Ind.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
