Elmer Claus, 77, of Cisne. died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 1995, at the
Red Hill Health Care Center in Sumner.

Mr. Claus retired in 1976 after 39 years with Farmall-International in Chicago.

Graveside services will be held at a later date. The body was cremated with the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne in charge of arrangements.

He was born June 10, 1918, at Moline, the son of Leonard H. and Lenore Luecke Claus.  On Dec.  14, 1940, at Moline, he was married to Mary Nell Barber.  His wife passed away Jan. 31, 1994. Also preceding him in death were his parents, one son and one grandson.

Mr. Claus was of the Lutheran faith and had worked as an EMT for North Wayne Ambulance.

Surviving are one son, Leonard Claus of Dolton; one daughter. Mrs Don (Katherine) LeDuke, of Smithfield, Neb.; one sister, Mrs. Fred (Winona) Kuypers, of Downers Grove; three children and five great-grandchildren.
