Norah McRill, daughter of Newton Milton McRill and Mary Ellen Spriggs, was born 1 December 1867 and at death was 46 years, 8 months and 8 days old. She died 8 August 1914. She was married to William Jackson Harlan, 4 July 1886, to this union eleven children were born, six of whom died in infancy.  She is survived by a husband, an aged mother and mother-in-law, by two sons and three daughters; Mrs. Mae Singleterry, of Mt. Vernon; Benjamin Harlan, Dan Harlan, Mrs. Alma Shehorn and Arla Harlan; 4 brothers, 2 sisters and 6 grandchildren, besides other relatives, friends and neighbors.

She made a profession of religion at an early age and joined the Methodist Church at old Mt. Zion, but afterwards joined the General Baptist at Union Star, where her membership was at the time of her death.

She was buried at Arrington Prairie Cemetery, near the little ones that had preceded here to the next life.  Funeral services conducted by Rev. Shehorn.
