Long-Time Sims Resident, Grace (Borah) Jones, Succumbs

Mrs. Grace Olive Jones, 80, a lifetime resident of the Sims vicinity, was found dead at her home in that community about 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon by a neighbor.

She had apparently died about 11:30 a.m. in her chair while watching television.  Mrs. Jones had started her dinner preparation and had food cooking on the stove.

Rites Conducted
Funeral services will be conducted form the Sims Christian church at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Charles Marshel and Rev. Glen Thomason officiating.   Burial will be in Pin Oak cemetery.   Friends may call at the Richardson Chapel after 4 p.m. Monday (today).

Grace Olive, daughter of William and Mary Marshall Smith, was born near Sims Jan. 15, 1889.

She was first married to Jep Borah, who preceded her in death as did two later husbands, John Gregg and Homer Jones.
 
Mrs. Jones was a member of the Sims Christian church.

The Survivors
 Surviving are one son, Edwin Borah, of Sims; three daughters, Mrs. Bennie (Hazel) Weaver, of Fairfield; Mrs. Glenn Willeman of Wayne City; and Mrs. Thomas O. (Golda) Minton, of Fairfield; three step-sons, Russell Gregg, of Madison, Wis.; Jim Gregg, of Florida; and Earl Jones, of Sims; a step-daughter, Edna Gregg, of Texas; two grandchildren, Amber Glen Hanson, of Carbondale; and Tom J. Minton, of Fairfield; and two brothers, Fred Smith, of Springfield; and Jake Smith, of Davenport, Iowa.
