Brother Of Orville Talbert Dies At Peoria Hospital

Walter O. Talbert, 85, of Peoria, died at St. Francis Hospital in that city at 1:30 pm Sunday, June 17, 1990

He was a Wayne County native and brother of Orville Talbert of Fairfield.

Mr. Talbert was a farmer for many years in the Malta-DeKalb area but moved to Peoria after retirement.

Funeral Thursday

The body has been returned to the Johnson Funeral Home here, with funeral services there at 2 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will be at the Johnson Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

He was born in Wayne County May 14, 1905, the son of Benjamin F and Grace Turner Talbert.

On Oct. 5, 1925, in Nashville, Ill., he was married to Mary Elizabeth Thomason.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Deloris Maricle and Lyndal Trotter.

The Survivors

Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth; one son, Ray Talbert of St. Peters, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. George (Lois) Schleuter of Colfax; and Mrs. Larry (Sharon) Bjelk of Tucson, Ariz; and one brother, Orville Talbert of Fairfield, eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
