DIES
William H. Rogers, 83, of the Rock Branch neighborhood, a retired farmer, died at his home in Cisne Monday after an illness of several months. He spent his lifetime in Rock Branch until he moved to Cisne eight years ago. He was one of the first in the county to have oil wells drilled on his land.
He is survived by his widow; two sons, Claude of Johnsonville and Dan of Cisne, and a stepdaughter, Chloe Mayo, of Cisne.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Cisne Methodist church, with the Rev. Delbert Goff and the Rev. Edward F. Watson officiating. Interment was in the Cisne cemetery.
