Walter V. Cook, 56, northwest of Rinard, died Saturday morning in Barnes hospital in St. Louis following an illness with a heart ailment. He has not been well for several years.

Funeral services were conducted from Willow Branch church Tuesday afternoon and burial was in the cemetery nearby.

Surviving are his widow; one son, Walter, Jr. of Flora, a daughter, Mrs. Madalyn McGrew, at home; two grand daughters, Barbara and Jerry McGrew; three brothers, Arthur and Larkiin of Rinard and Brinton, of West Salem and a sister Fannie Cook, of Rinard.
