Sarah Bell Bradham, daughter of Harvey and Sarah Vest was born October 4, 1860 in Orleen, Orange County, Indiana and moved to Illinois with her parents in her childhood, where she spent the remaining part of her life. She was united in marriage with J.A. Bradham in 1876. To this union seven children were born, three infant sons having preceded her in death.
She was converted in a meeting at the Mt. Pleasant Church and confessed her faith in Christ in her girlhood days.
Her companion preceded her in death March 7, 1941. She has been afflicted many years and has been treated at Anna, Illinois State Hospital, but unable to regain her health. The family was called there May 7, 1943 and found her critically ill and she passed peacefully away that evening at the age of 82 years, seven months and three days.
She leaves to mourn her passing her two sons, Dr. G.E. and Cloyd Bradham of Cisne; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Warren of Xenia and Mrs. Grace Tucker of Anderson, Ind. One brother R.H. Vest of Xenia; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Sleep on dear mother and take thy rest.
God called you home he thought it best.
Funeral services were conducted at Jacobs Chapel May 9, 1943 at 2:00 P.M. by W.D. DeSelms. Interment in Chapple cemetery.
