ALBERT ALLEN BRATTON
Albert Allen Bratton, son of James and Elizabeth Bratton was born June 27, 1866, near Adamsville, Ohio. He passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C.L. Kiger near Cisne Nov. 23, 21945, at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 26 days.
He moved with his parents to Orchard Township in Wayne county when about ten years old and spent the greater part of his life in and around this county.
On Feb. 21, 1889, he was united in marriage to Ida B. Weaver, who remained his faithful companion until the death angel called him. To this union were born four children: a son, Ora passed away in 1941; Lora, wife of C.L. Kiger of Cisne, and Okla, of Indianapolis, Ind., survive him; also 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. One grandchild, Betty Kiger, preceded him in death.
Four of his grandsons have been serving in the Armed services of our country, two having received their honorable discharge, one who is on his way from Japan and another stationed at Manila.
He is also survived by one brother Frank of Kankakee and three sisters, Fannie of Fairfield; Cora of Paxton, and Ella of Seattle, Wash. Mr. Bratton was converted and joined the Wesley Chapel Church in 190, where he was a faithful and helpful member as long as his health permitted.
Funeral services were held from Wesley Chapel on Sunday, Nov. 25th by his pastor Rev. Mayo Aashbrook with interment in the cemetery nearby.
