To the best of my knowledge, we are not related to this person.
Maybe it was a friend of her family?
Wayne County Record
February 1945
Ada C., daughter of J.B. and Elizabeth Scudamore, was born April 15th, 1861 at Middleton, Ill., and departed this life February 1, 1945 at the home of her son Joe, near Wayne City, Illinois, at the age of 3 years, 9 months and 16 days.
She was converted at the age of 16 years, 3 months and 3 days and was a charter member of the Hopewell church where she took an active part in church and Sunday school work. She served as teacher of the married ladies class for a number of years until her health prevented her attendance.
She was united in marriage with Benjamin C. Talbert March 10th, 1878, who preceded her in death September 18th, 1945 after more than sixty-six years of happy married life. To this union six children were born, namely: Elmer Theodore who died at the age of 14 days. Those surviving are Eva Myrtle Samford of Fairfield; Dessie Johnson, Joseph C. Leslie and Noval of Wayne City. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Eva Pittman of Flora and Edna Scudamore and one brother, A.G. Scudamore of Wayne City.
We watched her suffer day by day
To see her slowly pine away,
And could not give relief,
Her weary hours and days of pain,
Her troubled nights are passed;
And in out aching hearts we know
She has found sweet peace at last.
