Gracie June Vest, 67, of Flora passed away at 12:50 p.m. Monday at the Nature Trail Health Care Center in Mount Vernon, Ill.

Born June 28, 1941 in Peoria, Ill., Gracie was the daughter of Jesse and Ethel Viola (Markum) Porter. She married Donald Dwayne Atteberry on June 19, 1959 in Illinois, and he preceded her in death in 1985.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include daughter Sharon Heller of Flora; sons Stephen Atteberry of Olney and Jesse Atteberry of San Bernardino, Calif.; brothers Bud Lambrich of Pennsylvania, Carol Lambrich of Fairfield, and Dean Lambrich of Cisne; sisters Viola Mitchell of Kentucky and Ida Mae Anderson of Fairfield; brother-in-law David Atteberry of Belleville, Ill.; and sisters-in-law Lilian Griffith of Louisville and Shirly Forman of Watson, Ill. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six brothers and two sisters.

There will be no visitation. Frank and Bright Funeral Home in Flora is in charge of arrangements.  Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Xenia Community Church with Pastor Bruce Horsley officiating.
