WILLIAM GEORGE TAYLOR, son of Robert and Margaret (Mayberry) Taylor was born in White Co. March 6, 1861, died Sept. 15., 1915, age 54 years 6 months 9 days.  He married Alice Frazier in 1880. They had one son Robert Andrew. He married second Ida Churchwell. They had ten children, three have died,  He leaves his companion and eight children, Robert Andres, William Coconour, Ada, Estella, Pearl, James, Jessie and Ming, all of Bloomington except Ada of Davenport, Iowa. He also leaves a step mother Mrs. Robert Taylor, a brother Riley Taylor of’ Wayne City, Ill., half brothers and half sisters viz. Zachary, J. M. and Eobert all of Bt. Prairie, Mrs. Ceo. Reed, of Carrison, Il].., Mrs. B. M. Merritt and Mrs. C. W. Johnson of Wichita, Kansas. He was a member of the Primative Baptist Church at Mt. Plesant, joining in 1882. He lived near Ashland Church moving to Wayne City, Ill, then moved to Bloomington, Ill. where he died. Funeral was held by Elder Martin Gwaltney at Mt. Plesant. Burial in the Church Cemetery.
