MRS. JULIA PUCKETT died at her home in this city Sunday morning last at 6:30 o'clock aged 50 years, 4 months and 3 days.  Decease had been in poor health for three years, but the final end came quite suddenly. She was about the house as usual the day before, and was not taken seriously ill until about five o'clock Sunday morning, when she was seized with something like a congestive chill.  A physician was sent for but before his arrival death had claimed her as a victim.

Funeral services were held at Mill Shoals Monday at 11 o'clock,  conducted by Eld. D.. Logan, and the interment took place at Shrewsberry cemetery.

She was buried beside her husband, Frank Puckett, who died July 7th, 1892.  Five children left to mourn the loss of kind and, loving mother - two daughters and a son reside in this city, another son in Shawneetown, and another in  Texas.  All were present at the funeral excepting the son in Texas.

The sorrowing relatives request us to extend their thanks to those friends at Fairfield and at Mill Shoals who were so kind and considerate in the sad hours attending the death and funeral of their mother.
