Miss Elizabeth J. Harper was born in Edwards Co., Ill., Aug. 11, 1825.  She was married to John Wilson of Fairfield, Oct. 8, 1846.  To this union were nine children, 8 of whom reached maturity and 5 of whom survive her.  She died May 22, 1898.

Surviving:  Hon. T. A.  Wilson of Lebanon, Ill., Hon. Wm. H. Wilson of The Dallas, Oregon, Mrs. Chas. Brainerd of Howeel, Ind., and Mrs. James H. Kramer of this city.  Their youngest daughter Maggie, who is now Mrs. W. C. Porterfield of Silver City, N. Mex. was not present for the funeral.  Rev. L. A. Harper of Mt. Erie, brother of Mrs. Wilson.  Pall bearers:  A. L. Wall, Robt. Hayward, C. W. Summers, John Keen Jr., L. J.  Rider and  L. D. Bennett.
