Died at his residence in Barnhill township, after a lingering illness of several months, James S. Haynes  in the -- year of his age.

 He was born in Bedford Co. Tenn, February,  1810  and died Friday, April 25, 1879.  He was married  to Miss Mary Puckett February  21, 1833, whom he leaves together with several children and a host of friends to mourn his loss. He has been a resident of this county about 31 (or 37) years and enjoyed the respect of all who knew him.
