Mrs.  Phoebe Margaret Simpson, widow of the late William Francis Simpson, passed away about 11:00 o;clock Saturday morning at  her home near Burnt Prairie in Barnhill township.  She had been in poor health for some time.

Funeral services were conducted at the C.P. Church in Burnt Prairie Sunday at two o'clock p.m. by Rev. Ira C. Boyts.  Burial was in the Simpson cemetery.

Phoebe Simpson, the daughter of Samuel and Phebe McKeen, was born July 12,  1862, and departed this life February 25, 1939 at her old home, age 75 years 5 months and 13 days.

She was married to William Franklin Simpson December 5, 1886.  To this union were born four children, two having died in infancy and Glena who died  in 1913, at the age of twenty leaving an only son, Joseph and wife, Maggie, who have been faithful to her.

She joined the Christian church at Ashland at an early age and remained a faithful member until her death.
