Mrs. Orlando Simpson, 72, a well known resident of Barnhill township succumbed at her home last Wednesday of a heart attack, having been stricken while in the yard of her home south of Fairfield. She had made her home with her son, Orlando.
She was the widow of the late Orlando Simpson, one of the township's most prominent farmers. She was born there October 12, 1874. Her husband died twelve years ago.
She was survived by a son, Orlando, and thee daughters, Mrs. Loren Wifter of Woodriver, Mrs. Melvin F. Blackford, of Fairfield and Mrs. Walter Terrel of Detroit, Mich. All the children were at the funeral.
Services were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Pleasant Grove Baptist church by Rev. John Baker. Interrment was in --entz cemetery.
