George Vaughan, son of W. P. and Clara Vaughan, was born in Wayne County, Ill., December 27, 1889 and departed this life March 20, 1915, aged  25 yeas 2 months and 23 days.  His mother and one brother preceeded him to the great beyond.   He leaves a father, step-mother,  three sisters, two half-sisters, three half sisters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his departure.

He was converted and united with the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in January 1914, where he ramained a faithful and devoted Christian until death.

The funeral services were conducted from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Sunday afternoon, by the Pastor M. L. Lennon, assisted  by Eld. John Mauldin,  Pastor of Blue Mound Baptist church, said one og the largest crowds ever gathered at  Pleasant Grove church for funeral servlces.
