OBITUARY
He was untied in marriage to Edda Simpson, to this union was born 8 children, namely Celia Harris, Golden Gates, Ill., Namely Bonner, Porrsouth, Ia., Daniel H. Waughan, Harry S. Vaughan, William P. Vaughan, and Newton Vaughan who died at the age of 43year and2 children who died in infancy.
Their mother died Dec 31 , 1869. He was again married to Katherine Moffitt, April 24 1871 and there was born to them John A. Vaughan, of St. Louis, Mo., Mary Perkins, Virtura Smith, Elpaso, Texas, and Grove C. Vaughan, on daughter, Siberia, died at the age of 2 year and Mattie at the age of 10 months and 2 in infancy.
"Uncle Tom" as he was fagnilifly known, had a friendy and social disposition and enjoyed home and making others happy. While he was not affiliate4 with any church denomination, yet he was a believer in a supreme being and a life be— nd the grave and believed in Christian religion.
A good man is gone, earth is poorer, Heaven is tither. Wife and children mourn, friends gone hefora nd angels rejoice, a host of friends and reiative he Ieaves a wife, 5 sons, 4 daugheters, 46 g rand children anI 56 great grand children to mourn their loss.
