Mrs. Margaret Cravens, daughter of Ben Handen and Amanda Meeks, was born in Wayne county on November 25th, 1884 and passed away at the age of 63 years 10 months and 16 days.

She was united in marriage on October 7th, 1903 to Isaac Jefferson Cravens and to this union seven children were born, three of whom preceded her in death;  Mrs. Edna Vaughan, Myrtle, and an infant daughter.

At the age of eleven she was converted and united with the Pleasant Grove Baptist church, later removing her membership to the Mt. Zion Baptist church where she remained a member.

Surviving are her husband; two daughters Mrs. Frances  Reeves, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs.  Ted Mesaroie, of Aurora; two sons, Perry and Charles, of Fairfield; eight grandchildren; one sister of Fermington, Mo.; three brothers, John and Charles H.
