Eda Elizabeth (Vaughan) Puckett was born Aug. 22, 1823 and died
Aug. 23, 1903. Her twin sister Mary (Vaughan) Jackson, died July
22, 1878, and is also buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Eda Elizabeth Puckett, of Barnhill Twp. was one of the old citizens of this county and was amoung the first of the early settlers. She was 80 years of age on Saturday before her death on Sunday. Born in Tenn. she came to this county with her parents in 1839. Her maiden name was Vaughan and she was married to T. H. Puckett in 1840. To them were born 11 children, 7 of whom survive their mother. The husband of the deceased preceded her in death 23 years. Up to within a few weeks of her death she had been strong and well. The remaines were interred in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
