PEORIA- Mildred I. Cooke, 85, of Bensalem, Pa., formerly
of Peoria,
passed away at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008, in Bristol, Pa.
She was born Aug. 8,1922, in Fairfield, Ill. to Emma May Turner
Withrow.
She married William Russell Cheatham. He preceded her
in death. She
later married William J. Cooke in Peoria, Ill. on Nov. 19, 1950.
He
preceded her in death on April 7, 1978.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dale Francis
Cheatham; one grandson,David Russell Cheatham; two brothers; and three
sisters.
Surviving are one son, Russell(Donna) Cheatham of East Peoria; one
daughter Bonnie May Cooke of Bensalem, Pa.; two grandsons, Steven
Cheatham of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Timothy Cheatham of Pekin; and five
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Remmert
Funeral Home in East Peoria, with the Rev. Thomas Bayes Jr. officiating.
Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Fondulac
Cemetery in East Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to M &T Bank in Bensalem,
Pa.,
to help with expenses.
