Donald Dewane Evans, 19, of Minonk died Wednesday afternoon, Apr. 24, 1996, in a car wreck in Kane County in northern Illinois.

His parents and grandparents are former Wayne County residents but young Evans, a student, had never lived in Wayne.

Graveside rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from Thomason Cemetery at Wayne City, with Rev. Donald Evans officiating.  Visitation will be at the Channahon First Baptist Church in Minonk from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.  The Richardson Funeral Home at Wayne City is handling all arrangements.

 He was born at Morris Ill., Nov. 21, 1976, the son of Leon and Linda Sliver Evans.

Surviving are his father, Leon Evans, of Minonk; his mother, Linda Hungate, of Aurora, paternal grandmother, Waneta Evans, of Minonk; maternal grandparents, Charles and Norma Silver, of Aurora, and Mary Ritingerhouse, of Arkansas; and one sister, Melanie Evans, of Minonk.      He was preceded in death by a grandfather, an aunt and one cousin.
