Mrs. Latricia Root, 35, of Albion, died Sunday, Mar. 31, 1996, at Lakeland Care Center in Effingham. She was a homemaker.  Mrs. Root had been in a nursing home for eight months.
 
Funeral rites were conducted Wednesday morning from Nale's Funeral Home in Albion, with Rev. Bill Bunnage officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Albion.

She was born in Fairfield, Calif, Jan. 22, 1961, the daughter of Carey and Robbie Stone Johnson.

Surviving are her parents, Carey and Judy Johnson, of Albion; a daughter, Shanna Root, of Albion; and four sisters, Dorri Jackson, of Evansville, Ind.; Angela Hall and Terri Conner, both of Grayville; and Crystal Winter, of Ellery; along with 10 nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her mother and one sister.
