Guy Wilkerson, 81, of Mt. Vernon, formerly of Wayne county, died at 10:37 a.m. Sunday, Mar. 20, 1983, at Mt. Vernon hospital.  He is the brother of Otis Wilkerson, of Fairfield, and Mrs. Jola Henry, of Wayne City.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Myers-Baril Funeral Home, of Mt. Vernon, with Rev. James Schuetz officiating.  Burial was in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Wilkerson was born in Wayne county Feb. 16, 1902, the son of Frank O. and Catherine (Keen) Wilkerson.  He was married to Maxine Fisher Dec. 5, 1928, in Mt. Vernon. She preceded him in death June 23, 1982.

Mr. Wilkerson was an employee of Starr Brothers before his retirement.  He was a former owner of Wilkerson Refrigeration Service.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Peggy) Webb, of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Edna Shurtz, of Mt. Vernon, Jola Henry, of Wayne City and Nola Holt, of Yakima, Wash.; one brother, Otis Wilkerson, of Fairfield; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
