Ralph D. Hilliard, 84, of Tullahoma, Tenn., a retired farmer formerly of Cisne, died at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1983, at Franklin County Hospital in Winchester, Tenn., following a stroke.

He is the brother of Roy Hilliard, of Geff.

Mr. Hilliard and his Wife, Audrey, moved to Tennessee about two years ago to be nearer their daughter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hosselton Funeral Home at Cisne, with Bro. Ron Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Valley Cemetery near Geff.  Visitation for Mr. Hilliard will be held from 3-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Cisne.

Mr. Hilliard was born in East St. Louis Feb. 18, 1899, the son of David and Lucinda (Schell) Hilliard.  He married the former Audrey Rousseau in Mt. Vernon.

The Hilliard family lived in Alabama and Chicago before moving to Wayne County.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Hilliard, of Tullahoma, Tenn,; one daughter, Mrs. Glen (Hazel) Kirkman, of Tullahoma, Tenn.; two brothers, Roy Hilliard, of Geff; and Herschel Hilliard, of Flora; and two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren .
