Mrs. Bessie Wilkin, 90, of Louisville, and formerly of Wayne county, died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 1983. at St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham,

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday (today) at the Neal Funeral Home in Louisville, with burial in Iola Cemetery.

She was born in Wayne county Feb. 7, 1893, the daughter of Lemuel and Hannah (Brown) Glasco.

Surviving are a son, Merl Barnes, of Flora; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Harrison, of Batesville, Ark.; Mrs. Ethel Jenkins, of Louisville; and Mrs. Doris Prather, of Farina; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
