Mrs. Mattie Grandon Flanders, 73, was found dead in bed at her home in Rinard early Sunday morning.  She suffered a paralytic stroke a year ago, but recently she had enjoyed comparatively good health and her passing was unexpected.  Coroner Walter A. Young conducted an inquiry, returning a verdict of “death from natural causes.

Funeral services were conducted at the Rinard Methodist church on Wednesday afternoon by Elder W.D. Crippen.  Burial was in the Indian Prairie cemetery.

Surviving are two children, John Flanders, of Griffin, Ind., and Mrs. Ruby Jenkins, of Santa Rosa, Calif.
