Maude Marie Spangler, 86, of Mt. Carmel, died Apr. 18, at the General Baptist Nursing Home.  Mrs. Spangler was formerly from the Mt. Erie area.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Highland Memorial Cemetery at Mt. Carmel.

Mrs. Spangler was born in Mt. Erie Aug. 27, 1896, the daughter of George and Grace (Bennett) Rosignol.  She was married to Frank C. Spangler on Aug. 24, 1920.  Mrs. Spangler was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Grace Ahfield, of West Salem; Helen Vincent, of Fort Smith, Ark.; Blanche Jones, of Whittier, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; five sisters and two brothers.
