Mary, daughter of Franz and Mary Elizabeth (Barth) Schumann, was born in Marietta, O., August 5, 1876

In childhood, she, with her parents, moved to Illinois, living in Cisne where she resided until the time of her death October 3, 1949, at the age of 73 years, one month and 28 days.

Mary was of a loving disposition. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, three brothers, and one sister. She leaves to mourn her departure two sisters, Emma Schumann and Louise Snow; two nieces, one nephew, and two sister-in-law.

A loving one from us is gone,
ZA voice we loved is stilled.
A chair is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.

Funeral services were conducted from the family residence on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 6, by the Rev. W.E. Courtright, assisted by the Rev. Edward Watson, with interment in the family lot of the Cisne cemetery.
