Mrs. Neva M. Hawkins, 71, of Hobart, Ind., formerly  of Johnsonville, died at 4:18 a.m. Monday (today) at St. Mary's Medical Center at Hobart, Ind.  Mrs. Hawkins moved to Hobart about 40 years ago from the Johnsonville area.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Hosselton Funeral Home, of Cisne, with Bro. Ray Phillips officiating.  Visitation will be conducted from 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home until time of the funeral.

Mrs. Hawkins was born in Wayne County May 31, 1911, the daughter of James and Della (Vogle) Montgomery,  She was married to Carl Hawkins.

Mrs. Hawkins was a homemaker and member of the Providence General Baptist Church at Johnsonville.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Hawkins, of Hobart, Ind.; one daughter, Velda Hawkins, of Hobart, Ind.; two sons, John Hawkins, of Hobart, Ind.; Olen Hawkins, of Roselawn, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. George (Faye) Colborn, of Cherry Valley; Mrs. Ralph (Ethel) Logan, of Springfield, Ind.; one brother, Otis Montgomery, of Hobart, Ind.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
